The photographic works of Antje Bockeloh and Sabine Kontny engage with gender roles, female identity, body norms and sexuality. They oscillate in the field between experimental and staged photography. In their examination of societal role models they draw equally on still-life motifs based on everyday objects and on their own bodies. Play with spaces of perception as well as with the real exhibition space is part of the process at the same.
