In the exhibition, photographs and sculptural and painted works encounter one another – introduced by Barbara Hofmann-Johnson, director of the Museum für Photographie Braunschweig: Martina Sauter engages with the boundary expansion of the medium of photography. Along the way, she operates between the poles of photography, film and reality. Lorenzo Pompa’s works recall stage-like installations. Their scenic legibility produces a filmic reference to the photographic works of Martina Sauter.
