The exhibition thematizes the meaning of time, place and image caption in the context of exhibiting photography. Martin Claßen documented historical places and remnants of National Socialism. Frank Doering drew inspiration from the force of nature during a spiritual break in Ireland. With “My first cigarette”, Martin Frech depicts a place of remembrance as well as views from Prora. Tobias D. Kern’s series “Nine Eleven” was created in Italy on the day after the terrorist attacks.
