Renate Paulsen exhibits documentary and edited photographs, collages from private albums. Temporal context and gender role have stood at the focus of her image-works since the 1980s. Shots of vacated residences point to former inhabitants – inscribed backs of photos imagine their picture and alongside private life stories play associations of concepts and cultures.
