Artist Meets Archive: Three Positions

The six Artist Meets Archive Institutions and the Museumsdienst Cologne invite you to take a tour of their exhibitions. From 8 to 12 May, public guided tours to the individual positions will take place almost daily; on the second festival weekend, three stations of the AMA project can be explored in approximately two-hour tours.

Artist Meets Archive: Three Positions

The tours are limited to 20 persons each.
Costs: 10€, concessions: 7€

Tour #1:
Friday, 10 May, 4-6 p.m.
Saturday, 11 May, 3-5 p.m.
Sunday, 12 May, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The tour starts at Museum Ludwig with a joint visit to the exhibition "Fiona Tan. GAAF". From there we will walk to the MAKK - Museum für Angewandte Kunst Cologne, where we will visit the exhibition "Archive Land" by Erik Kessels. The third stop takes us to the Kölnisches Stadtmuseum and the exhibition "Paradiesvogel" (Bird of Paradise) by the Israeli artist Ronit Porat.

Tour #2:
Saturday, May 11th, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Sunday, 12 May, 3-5 p.m.

The tour starts at the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum in the exhibition "NOISY IMAGES" by Antje Van Wichelen. Together we drive from there to Galerie Kaune Contemporary to see the work "COELN. Cathedral of light" by Ola Kolehmainen (in collaboration with the Rheinisches Bildarchiv Köln) in the chapel. The tour ends at the Photographische Sammlung/SK Stiftung Kultur with a joint visit to the exhibition "Die Hummer-Quadrille" by Roselyne Titaud.

The tour can be taken either by bicycle or by public transport.
