Karina Nimmerfall, who received the renowned stipend “Zeitgenössische deutsche Fotografie“ of the Krupp-Stiftung in 2018, draws on the subject of “one’s own room” in large-format computer-generated images in her exhibition “A New Room of One’s Own”, that was postulated by Virginia Woolf in her essay on feminist literary criticism as the basic condition of creative work, and scrutinized its socio-political, economic and ideological implications.
