Gudrun Holtz studied art and cultural studies, works as a writer and journalist for radio and TV and is a photography enthusiast. She has photographed people with scars on their body in the past four years. The result is a photographic documentary. The scars, when we consider them from outside or perhaps only find ourselves facing them accidentally, give rise to questions: What does the scar mean for the person in everyday life today? An artistic photobook has been produced for Kerber Verlag publishers.
