In 1962, Pierre Berdoy photographed “York Castle” in Tangier, Morocco, for the French art magazine L´ŒIL.
Yves Vidal, chief of the French KNOLL INTERNATIONAL, had acquired the impressive Portuguese-Moorish building in 1960 and had it restored.
The series of 24 architecture photographs depicts the exciting integration of the iconic designs of Eero Saarinen, Florence Knoll and Harry Bertoia into a traditional architecture.
